I’m beginning to see gold, lots of gold…
Daniel Roseberry presents a collection with no shortage of glam
A 2000’s era Nokia ringtone…a tune most would recognize, was the prelude for Daniel Roseberry’s fall/winter digital showcase.
Needless to say, the ringtone boomed from a huge golden ear.
A simple color palette of block colors acted as the canvas for looks that were bedazzled with bold statement jewelry.
Looks for both Joan Collins and Cruella (note the houndstooth!), 80’s drama was the theme, with cone shaped bodices, and a grittier more grotesque form of glamour resonating this season.
A simply cinched waist came to life with the help of heaps of clunky gold art deco jewelry remininscent of Klimt.
Sarcasm was on point, evident from a pair of mahogany-colored boobs expertly sculpted into a purse—why not?
Earlobes as earrings, nose shaped buttons, keyholes and intricately painted snail shells added subtle sparks of humor to the Dynsaty mise-en-scène. The different body parts used to inspire the jewelry give a fresh take to body art.
Go big or go home was clearly the motto, and the jewelry used was not only decorative, but acted as the focal point for the entire look.
Grace Jones received a nod in a hood, appearing stoic in a silk chiffon robe in the iconic Schiaparelli pink, complete with a set of devilishly long nails.
The thick platform shoes only added gravitas to the pomp and punched the sharp authority of the look with a hint of quirk.
OPULENCE—this woman owns everything.
